Glass Fiber Reinforced PA6 Product Manual
1. Product Name
Glass Fiber Reinforced Nylon Particle
2. Product Overview
This product is a high-performance engineering plastic, which is compounded from nylon resin and glass fiber through a special process. It has excellent mechanical properties, heat resistance, chemical resistance and dimensional stability, and is widely used in the fields of automobiles, electronics, electrical appliances, machinery, etc.
3. Product Features
1). High strength and rigidity: The addition of glass fiber significantly improves the tensile strength, flexural strength and modulus of nylon, enabling it to withstand higher loads.
2). Good heat resistance: Compared with ordinary nylon, glass fiber reinforced nylon has a higher heat distortion temperature and can maintain stable performance in a high-temperature environment.
3). Outstanding chemical resistance: It has good resistance to acids, alkalis, organic solvents, etc., and is suitable for various harsh chemical environments.
4). Low water absorption: Low water absorption rate and good dimensional stability reduce the dimensional changes and performance degradation caused by moisture absorption.
5). Good electrical insulation performance: Can be used for insulating components in the electrical and electronic fields.
4. Technical Parameters
See the data sheet below(different grades will be somewhat different)
5. Application Fields
1). Automotive Components: Such as engine covers, intake manifolds, oil pans, fan blades, etc.
2). Electronics and Electrical Appliances: Connectors, sockets, switches, coil frames, etc.
3). Mechanical Parts: Gears, bearings, bushings, sliders, etc.
4). Household Products: Electrical appliance housings, tool handles, etc.
6. Usage Method
1). Drying Treatment: Before processing, it is recommended to dry the particles in a drying oven at 80 - 100 °C for 4 - 6 hours to ensure the moisture content is less than 0.1%.
2). Injection Molding: Use conventional injection molding equipment and processes. The injection molding temperature is generally between 250 - 290 °C, and the mold temperature is between 80 - 120 °C.
3). Extrusion Molding: Suitable for manufacturing profiles such as pipes and sheets. The extrusion temperature is usually between 240 - 280 °C.
7. Precautions
1). Avoid storage and use in a humid environment to avoid affecting product performance.
2). During the processing, attention should be paid to controlling the temperature and pressure to avoid excessive degradation and bubble generation.
3). During the use of the product, avoid collision with sharp objects to avoid damage.
8. Packaging and Storage
1). Packaging: Packed in moisture-proof paper bags or plastic bags, 25 kilograms per bag.
2). Storage: Store in a dry, ventilated and cool warehouse, avoid direct sunlight and rain. The storage period is 12 months.
